Is the ROVSUN electric chafing dish worth it over a fuel-powered one?

If you serve indoors near an outlet, yes. The adjustable thermostat holds a steadier temperature than Sterno cans, and you never buy fuel. Outdoors or off-grid, a fuel chafer is the safer pick.

How hot does it get, and can it cook food?

The dial runs from 80°F to 200°F. That is a holding range, not a cooking range, so food should be fully cooked before it goes in the pan.

What size food pans fit it?

It ships with one full-size pan, about 20.9"L x 12.8"W x 2.5"H, holding 9 qt. Standard full-size steam table pans of similar depth should fit the frame.

Does it come with a lid and cord?

Yes. The set includes the roll-top PC lid and the supply cord. Chafing fuel is not included, and none is needed.

Can I use it without electricity?

No. It is electric only and has no fuel holder, so it needs a standard outlet wherever you set it up.

When is the price lowest?

Watch for dips around major holiday and party seasons, when buffet gear is discounted. Check the price history chart before buying.
