Questions and answers

Is the Portofino Sling sofa comfortable for long lounging?: The sling seat is supportive and dries quickly, but it is firmer than a deep-cushion sofa. Add a throw or seat pad if you want a softer feel for long afternoons.
Does the Sunbrella fabric really resist fading?: Sunbrella acrylic is widely regarded as one of the more fade-resistant outdoor fabrics, and RST lists this sofa as fade-resistant. Keep it out of standing water and clean it per Sunbrella's guidance to protect the finish.
How many people fit on a 96-inch sofa?: A 96-inch sofa typically seats three adults comfortably, or four if they sit close. Check your patio depth too, since the listed dimensions are 96 inches in every direction.
How hard is assembly?: Assembly is required, and a sofa this size usually takes two people an hour or so with basic tools. Lay out the parts and read the instructions before starting.
Is it safe to leave outside in rain and sun?: The frame and Sunbrella fabric are weather-resistant, so covered outdoor use is fine. In heavy storms, bring cushions inside and check that water drains from the sling seat.
When is the best time to buy it?: Outdoor furniture usually drops in late summer and early fall as stores clear seasonal stock. We have no price history for this model, so compare quotes across stores before buying.
