Is the RTIC Essential tumbler worth it?

At $8.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest insulated tumblers around. It does the basic job well; you pay more elsewhere for a handle, a straw lid or stronger leak protection.

Does it fit in a car cup holder?

Yes. The tapered base is designed to sit in standard cup holders, including the 30 oz size.

No. The lid is press-fit and reduces splashes but will seep if the tumbler is tipped or laid on its side. Keep it upright in a bag.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, RTIC lists the tumbler as dishwasher safe. Hand washing the lid can extend the life of its seal.

What sizes does it come in?

20 fl oz and 30 fl oz. The 20 oz suits shorter commutes and smaller cup holders; the 30 oz holds more but has no handle.
