Is the Rubbermaid Infinity worth $611.99?

If you run a high-traffic entrance, the large capacity and heavy steel build cut emptying and replacement costs over time. For a small office with light smoking, a cheaper smaller receptacle does the job.

How often does it need emptying?

Rubbermaid markets it as ultra-high capacity, so a busy entrance typically needs service far less often than a standard 1-2 gallon ashtray. Actual interval depends on foot traffic.

Can it be used indoors?

It is specified for outdoor use. The tall open design and steel body suit entrances, patios and sidewalks rather than indoor rooms.

Does it need to be anchored?

The roughly 32.5-pound steel body resists wind on its own, but in exposed or windy locations anchoring or a weighted base is the safer choice.

What are the dimensions?

It stands 41.5 inches tall with a 15.5-inch diameter and weighs about 519.9 ounces (32.5 pounds).
