Our take on the Rugged Thermal Drone Bundle With Dual 640T Sensor

This is a rugged drone bundle built around a dual thermal sensor: a 640x512 thermal camera paired with a 50MP visible-light camera on a 13 mm lens. It is aimed at inspection, search-and-rescue and night work, with 4K video, 16x digital zoom and a rated 9.3 mi operating distance. The bundle ships with three batteries for up to 38 minutes of flight each, so field sessions run long without charging breaks. No price was provided for this listing, so its current cost against its recent range cannot be stated.

Pros
  • Dual 640T thermal sensor with multiple temperature measurement modes
  • 50MP RYYB camera with Moonlight Algorithm 2.0 for low-light stills
  • 4K video and 16x digital zoom
  • Up to 38 minutes of flight per battery
  • Three batteries included, so roughly two hours of total flight time
  • 9.3 mi operating distance
Cons
  • Thermal resolution of 640x512 is modest for fine-detail thermography
  • 16x zoom is digital, so detail softens at the long end
  • Rugged build and three-battery bundle add weight and bulk to carry
  • No price or store given here, so value is hard to judge
  • Pro-grade thermal workflows need training to read temperatures correctly

Questions and answers

Is the thermal resolution good enough for inspection work?
640x512 is a common prosumer thermal resolution and works for spotting hot spots on roofs, panels and motors. For precise small-component thermography, higher-resolution sensors give cleaner detail.
How much flight time do the three batteries give?
Each battery is rated for up to 38 minutes, so the bundle covers roughly 114 minutes of air time in ideal conditions. Cold weather and wind will cut that.
What is the difference between the 50MP camera and the thermal sensor?
The 50MP RYYB camera shoots visible-light stills and 4K video, with a low-light mode for dim scenes. The thermal sensor captures heat at 640x512 and measures temperatures.
Does the 16x zoom keep image quality?
It is digital zoom, so the image is cropped and enlarged rather than optically magnified. Expect usable framing at low zoom and softer detail near 16x.
What comes in the box?
The bundle includes the drone with its dual camera and thermal sensor, plus three batteries. Check the listing for the controller, charger and case before ordering.
When is the best time to buy it?
No price history was supplied for this listing, so no cheapest period can be named. Compare current store prices before buying.
