Our take on the S20 Lite 4K UHD FPV Foldable Camera Drone

The S20 Lite is a low-cost foldable quadcopter that claims 4K video and FPV flying, controlled from your phone rather than a dedicated transmitter. It is aimed at beginners and casual flyers who want aerial photos without spending much. At $65.70 at ShopSimon as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against. Expect toy-grade build and stabilization at this price, not DJI-level footage.

Cons
  • Phone control adds lag and drains your battery

Questions and answers

Is the S20 Lite worth buying?
At $65.70 it is a cheap way to try drone flying and phone-based FPV. Do not expect stable 4K video or long range; it suits casual use, not serious filming.
Do I need a separate controller?
It is controlled from your smartphone, so no dedicated transmitter is required. Check the box contents before buying if you prefer sticks over touchscreen controls.
How long can it fly?
Budget drones in this class typically fly 8 to 15 minutes per battery. Buy a spare battery if you plan longer sessions.
Does it need to be registered with the FAA?
In the US, drones under 250 g flown recreationally still require a TRUST test certificate, and many budget drones exceed 250 g, which means registration. Check the listed weight before flying.
Is the 4K video real?
Treat 4K as a recording mode rather than true 4K detail. Expect soft footage with visible shake, especially in wind.
When is it cheapest?
The only new price listed is $65.70 at ShopSimon as of November 4, 2026. Budget drones often drop around Black Friday and back-to-school sales.
Where is the S20 Lite 4K UHD FPV Foldable Camera Drone cheapest?
