Is the S98 worth it at $89.99?

At $89.99 at RK Royal Kludge as of November 5, 2026, you get a 96-key hot-swappable board with a screen, knob, PBT keycaps and a 3750 mAh battery. That is a lot of features for the price, and the 4.6 rating from 612 buyers backs it up.

How long does the battery last?

RK rates it up to 200 hours with the backlight off. RGB lighting cuts that figure substantially, and a full recharge takes 6 to 7 hours over USB-C.

Can I use it with a Mac?

Yes. It supports Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, and the display screen lets you switch between WIN and MAC layouts.

Can I change the switches?

Yes. The board is hot-swappable, so you can pull the stock switches with the included puller and fit compatible 3-pin or 5-pin switches without soldering.

You get the S98 keyboard, a Type-C to USB cable, a keycap and switch puller, and a user manual. A wrist rest is not included.

Does it have a number pad?

Yes. The 96-key layout keeps the number pad and essential navigation keys while trimming the width of a full-size board.
