Is the Safavieh Adirondack rug good quality?

It is a budget machine-made rug, so quality is fair for the price. The pattern and stain resistance hold up, but the thin pile and synthetic fiber will not match a wool rug.

Does this rug need a rug pad?

Yes, a pad is recommended. At 0.43 inches thick it adds cushioning, keeps the rug from sliding and helps it lie flat.

How do I clean the Safavieh Adirondack rug?

Vacuum regularly without a beater bar and blot spills right away with a mild detergent and water. It is stain-resistant but not stain-proof.

Will an 8' x 10' rug fit my living room?

An 8' x 10' rug usually fits a sofa-and-chairs seating group with the front legs on the rug. Measure your room first, since it leaves about 2 feet of floor on each side in a 12-foot-wide room.

Some shedding is normal in the first weeks with synthetic pile. Vacuum gently and it should settle.

When is the best time to buy this rug?

Rug prices often dip during major sales events and seasonal home promotions. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the Safavieh Adirondack Collection Area Rug, 8' x 10'

The Safavieh Adirondack is a machine-made synthetic area rug in an 8' x 10' rectangular size, styled with a distressed floral-oriental pattern. It is built for easy care: the low 0.43-inch pile is stain-resistant and vacuums without a beater bar fuss. It is a budget decorative rug, not a hand-knotted heirloom, so expect it to look best in low-traffic rooms.
