Is the Samsung DU8000 worth it?

Yes if you want a large 4K screen at a low price. At $600 for 75 inches at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it is a strong value. Skip it if you need deep blacks or bright HDR.

Does the DU8000 have 120Hz or VRR for gaming?

No. It is a 60Hz panel without variable refresh rate, so it is fine for casual console play but not for high-frame-rate gaming.

Does it support Dolby Vision?

No. It handles HDR10 and HLG but not Dolby Vision, so Dolby Vision content plays in standard HDR.

The TV, a stand, a remote, a power cable and documentation. A wall mount and HDMI cables are sold separately.

Can I control it with Alexa or Google Assistant?

Yes. The TV works with both Alexa and Google Assistant, and Tizen also has its own voice control through the remote.

When is the DU8000 cheapest?

Prices on this line drop around Black Friday and during spring clearance, when new models arrive. The current $600 at eBay as of November 8, 2026 is already near the low end.

What reviewers say

Owners of Samsung's entry Crystal UHD sets generally call them good value for the size, with an easy setup and a responsive smart system. The common complaints are washed-out blacks, weak built-in speakers and HDR that does not impress.
