Is the Galaxy Tab S7 FE worth it at $159?

At $159 at Distritech as of November 3, yes, if you want a large screen and a pen for notes or streaming. It is not a fast tablet, so do not buy it for demanding games.

How does it compare with the Tab S7 or S8?

The S7 and S8 have faster chips and AMOLED screens; the S7 FE trades those for a lower price and a bigger 12.4-inch LCD. The S7 FE is the better value for reading, notes and video, the others for performance.

How is the battery life?

The 10,090 mAh battery lasts roughly a full day of browsing, video and note-taking. Heavy gaming drains it faster, and charging is slow at 15 W.

Does it come with the S Pen?

Yes, an S Pen is included in the box. It attaches magnetically to the tablet for storage and charging.

Can I add more storage?

Yes, there is a microSD slot that accepts microSDXC cards. The 256 GB built-in storage is already large for this class.

Older tablets like this drop most during clearance events and holiday sales. Track its price history and buy when a listing falls near its recent low.

Our take on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 12.4" Tablet 256GB (Wi-Fi) S Pen Included Mystic Black

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is Samsung's value-priced big-screen tablet: a 12.4-inch 2560 x 1600 TFT LCD, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and an included S Pen. This 256 GB Wi-Fi model runs Android 11 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G-class chip (Kryo 570, 2.2 GHz) with an 8 MP rear camera and microSD expansion. It is a 2021 design, so its appeal is screen size and pen input at a mid-range price rather than speed. The latest best price for this configuration is $159 at Distritech as of November 3, well below what this model typically sold for when new.
