Is the Samsung HU8000F a good TV for the price?

It is a solid mid-tier 4K set, but at $1,389.99 at Staples as of November 8, 2026 it sits close to what better-contrast mini-LED sets cost. Compare against those before buying.

Does it support 4K streaming apps?

Yes. Tizen includes Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and the other major apps, and the panel is native 4K.

What size room suits a 65-inch TV?

About 8 to 10 feet from the screen is comfortable for 4K viewing. Closer than that, the picture still holds up; much farther and the size advantage fades.

Do I need a soundbar?

Most owners of slim LCD TVs add one. The built-in speakers handle news and casual viewing but lack bass for movies.

Is it good for gaming?

It handles console gaming at 4K, but it lacks the high refresh rate and variable refresh rate features of Samsung's gaming-focused sets.

What comes in the box?

The TV, its stand, a remote and power cable. Check the listing for the exact stand and wall-mount hardware included.

Our take on the Samsung HU8000F 65-inch LCD TV

The Samsung HU8000F is a 65-inch 4K LCD TV running Samsung's Tizen smart platform. It is a mid-tier set: 4K resolution and the Tizen app system are the main draws, without the mini-LED or OLED panels of Samsung's higher lines. At $1,389.99 at Staples as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent low to compare it against.
