- Is The Terrace worth it over a regular TV on a covered patio?
- If the TV will sit under a roof but face weather, dust or big temperature swings, the IP56 rating and sealed build justify much of the premium. A standard indoor TV in a fully enclosed, climate-controlled space is cheaper and just as good.
- Can it handle direct sunlight?
- No. Samsung positions The Terrace for shaded and partly shaded areas. In full sun the picture washes out, and the panel is not rated for constant direct exposure.
- Does it need a special mount?
- Yes. It uses a Samsung outdoor wall mount or stand sold separately, and the set weighs about 65 lb, so the mount must be rated for that load.
- What's in the box?
- The 55-inch TV and its listed components. Stands, mounts and styling accessories are not included unless specified.
- How does it compare with The Terrace Lite?
- The full Terrace adds Mini LED backlighting, higher brightness and a 120Hz panel. The Lite uses standard edge lighting and a 60Hz panel, so it costs less but is dimmer and less smooth for sports.
- When is it cheapest?
- Outdoor TVs tend to discount in late summer and around Black Friday. The current $2,261.53 at eBay as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.
