Is 40W enough for fruiting plants like tomatoes?

It can carry cherry tomatoes and similar small fruiting plants through vegetative growth, but flowering and fruiting need more intensity. Expect better results on herbs, succulents and seedlings.

How does the timer work?

You pick 4, 8 or 12 hours and the light repeats that on-off cycle every 24 hours from the moment you set it. It is not tied to a clock time, and it resets if power is cut.

Can I replace the bulbs?

Yes. The fixture uses E27 bulbs and SANSI sells replacements, so a failed bulb does not mean a new light. Each head is rated for a maximum of 10W.

How much area does it cover?

The four heads spread light over a small shelf or a cluster of pots rather than a whole tent. For a dense canopy or a 2x2 ft grow area, you need a stronger panel.

Is today's price a good one?

At $39.96 at Amazon as of November 6, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range, and only one store lists it new. That makes it a reasonable buy if the clamp format fits your setup.

Does it need a special outlet or ballast?

No. It plugs into a standard outlet and the LEDs run directly; there is no ballast or controller to buy.
