Our take on the Saucony Men’s Peregrine 16 Trail Running Shoes

The Saucony Peregrine 16 is a lightweight trail runner built for technical terrain, with a mesh upper, a protective rock plate underfoot and a lugged rubber outsole for grip on loose and wet ground. It weighs about 1 lb. 1 oz. per shoe and uses a cushioning, stability-oriented midsole that keeps the ride agile rather than plush. A waterproof version exists, but the standard model is not waterproof. The best new price is $145.00 at Nordstrom as of November 5, 2026, with four stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Peregrine 16 worth $145?
At $145.00 at Nordstrom as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a light, protected trail shoe. It suits technical trails and shorter races more than long, cushioned efforts.
How does it compare with the Peregrine 15?
The 16 keeps the same trail-focused formula with a lighter, more agile feel and a refined upper. Runners who liked the 15's grip and protection will recognize the ride.
Is it waterproof?
No. The standard Peregrine 16 is not waterproof, though a waterproof version is sold separately. Choose that one for cold, wet runs.
What width does it come in?
This listing is medium width only. Runners who need wide or narrow sizing should check other Peregrine 16 listings.
Can I use it on roads?
It works for short stretches to the trailhead, but the rubber lugs wear quickly on pavement. Keep road miles limited.
When is it cheapest?
Trail shoes usually drop when a new model arrives or during seasonal sales. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below $145.
