Can it use a dado stack?

No. SawStop states the Compact Table Saw cannot use a dado. For dado work you need a larger SawStop model or a router.

How deep will it cut?

3-1/8 inches at 0° with the 10-inch blade, enough for 2-inch maple. Bevel cuts go to 45 degrees with 1-degree micro-adjustment.

What is the rip capacity?

24-1/2 inches to the right of the blade with the rack-and-pinion fence, which is full-size capacity for a benchtop saw.

Does it come with a stand?

The folding stand is an optional accessory, not included. The saw itself has a tubular carry handle and on-saw storage for accessories.

What happens after the brake fires?

The blade and brake cartridge are consumed and must be replaced. Budget for a new cartridge and blade after any activation.

The SawStop 10" Compact Table Saw is a benchtop, corded 15 A table saw built around SawStop's patented flesh-detection brake, which stops and drops the blade in under 5 milliseconds on skin contact. It offers a 10-inch blade, 3-1/8-inch depth of cut at 0°, a 24-1/2-inch rack-and-pinion rip fence, and a quick-tilt bevel with 1-degree micro-adjustment. At 68 lbs with a tubular carry handle and on-saw accessory storage, it is meant to move between job site and shop. It cannot take a dado stack.
