Our take on the Sceptre C248W-1920RN Curved 24-inch Gaming Monitor

The Sceptre C248W-1920RN is a 24-inch curved monitor with a 1800R arc, 1920x1080 resolution and a slim brushed-metal stand. It has HDMI, VGA and PC audio-in ports, so it works with older desktops as well as consoles and laptops. It is a budget 1080p panel, not a high-refresh gaming display. At $77.97 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range and is one of the cheapest curved 24-inch screens you can buy.

  • VGA is the only option for older PCs without HDMI
  • Curved panel offers little benefit at this size

Questions and answers

Is the Sceptre C248W-1920RN worth it?
At $77.97 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a curved 24-inch 1080p screen. Buy it for office work, streaming and casual games, not for competitive play.
Does it have built-in speakers?
No. It has a PC audio-in jack but no speakers, so you need headphones or external speakers.
What refresh rate does it run?
60Hz. It is not a high-refresh gaming monitor, so fast shooters will look smoother on a 144Hz panel.
What is in the box?
The monitor, its stand and base, and the necessary cables for power and connection. Check the listing for which video cable is included.
Can I use it with a laptop or console?
Yes. HDMI works with most laptops, the PS4 and Xbox consoles, and the VGA port covers older PCs.
When is it cheapest?
It is already near the bottom of its price range at $77.97. Watch for Black Friday and back-to-school sales, when budget monitors usually drop a few dollars more.
