Is the Comfort Deluxe warm enough for winter camping?

Yes. Its R-value of 6.5 is rated for cold conditions, including snow camping, when paired with a suitable sleeping bag.

Can I backpack with this pad?

It is not ideal. At 5 lb and with a bulky packed size, it suits car camping and base camps rather than long hikes.

It self-inflates when the valve is opened. Most users add a few breaths or a pump sack to firm it up fully.

It measures 79 inches long, 29 inches wide and 4 inches thick, which fits most adults including tall sleepers.

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Dick's Sporting Goods, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against right now.

Check the box contents with the retailer; the pad relies on self-inflation, and a stuff sack is typically included.
