Our take on the Segmart Dining Table with 4 High-Back Upholstered Chairs Modern Dinette Set

The Segmart 5-piece dining set pairs a rectangular black MDF table with four high-back chairs upholstered in PU leather on steel legs. It seats four and is aimed at small dining rooms and apartments that want a modern look on a tight budget. The chairs are tall at 38.4 inches overall, with a 21.1-inch back and a 17.3-inch seat height. The best new price is $185.88 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful recent price range to compare against.

Pros
  • Complete five-piece set for under $200
  • High-back chairs with padded PU leather seats

  • Compact footprint suits tight spaces
  • Matching black finish across table and chairs
Cons
  • MDF top is prone to swelling if water sits on it
  • PU leather can peel and feels warm in long sittings
  • Not extendable, so it seats exactly four
  • Only one store lists it new, limiting price comparison
  • Assembly and hardware quality are common weak points on budget sets

Questions and answers

Is the Segmart dining set worth $185.88?
At $185.88 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, you get a table and four upholstered chairs, which is cheap for a full set. Expect budget-grade MDF and PU leather rather than long-term furniture.
How big is the table?
The listing does not give table dimensions, only that it is rectangular and seats four. Measure your space for four chairs at 15 inches wide and 15.8 inches deep each before ordering.
Can the table seat more than four?
No. It is not extendable and comes with exactly four chairs, so four is the limit.
What are the chairs made of?
The seats and backs are PU leather over padding, with steel legs. PU leather wipes clean easily but can peel over time.
Is it hard to assemble?
Budget five-piece sets like this typically take an hour or two with two people. Check that all bolts are included when the box arrives.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store lists it new, so discounts are unlikely to be broad. Watch Walmart for rollback pricing around major sales events.
Where is the Segmart Dining Table with 4 High-Back Upholstered Chairs Modern Dinette Set cheapest?
At Walmart, for $185.88, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Segmart Dining Table with 4 High-Back Upholstered Chairs Modern Dinette Set?
Rated 3.6 out of 5 from 32 ratings.
