Our take on the Seiko 5 Sports Pink Panther Limited Edition Watch

Questions and answers

Is the Seiko 5 Sports Pink Panther worth $795.89?

That is the only new price listed, $795.89 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Standard Seiko 5 Sports models sell for far less, so you are paying mostly for the limited-edition design.

Does it need a battery?

No. It has an automatic mechanical movement that winds from wrist movement. If you leave it off for a few days it will stop and need resetting.

What size is the case?

The case is 38mm, which is smaller than many dive-style watches and fits most wrists. It is listed as unisex.

Can I swim with it?

It is water resistant, but the listing does not state a depth rating. Treat it as safe for splashes and hand washing unless Seiko's rating for this model says otherwise.

How many were made?

Seiko has not published a production number in this listing. Limited-edition Seiko 5 models typically sell out and then appear mostly on the secondary market.

When is the best time to buy?

With only one new listing, there is no price history to wait on. Limited editions usually get scarcer and pricier after stock sells out.
