Best forSmall to mid-size lawns with thatch buildupHomeowners replacing manual rakingSpring and fall lawn cleanupBuyers who want a bag to catch debris
Pros
  • 12.6-inch width and 27 spring steel tines cover ground faster than a rake
  • 8-gallon collection bag cuts down on raking and bagging afterward
  • Double safety switches and SGS certification
  • Fixed 0.4-inch depth is simple to set up and use
  • Corded 12 Amp motor gives steady power with no battery to charge
Cons
  • Cord limits reach and means managing an extension cord
  • Fixed depth cannot be adjusted for light or deep dethatching
  • 24 lbs and 42 inches long make it awkward on slopes and tight corners
  • No battery option, so it needs an outdoor outlet and a long cord
