Is the RS 195 worth it for someone with hearing loss?

Yes, if TV dialogue is the main problem. The hearing profiles and speech mode are the reason most buyers choose it over standard wireless headphones.

How does it connect to a TV?

It uses a base station with digital optical and 3.5mm inputs. The headphones then link to the base over 2.4 GHz RF, not Bluetooth.

What is the battery life?

Up to 18 hours per charge. The headphones recharge on the included dock, so you don't swap batteries.

Can I use it with a phone or tablet?

No. It is an RF system tied to its base station and has no Bluetooth, so it won't pair with phones or tablets.

Just over 300 feet line of sight. Walls and appliances cut that, and crowded 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi can cause interference.

The headphones, a charging base station, a remote, and connection cables for optical and 3.5mm audio.

Our take on the Sennheiser RS 195 Wireless TV Headphones

The Sennheiser RS 195 is an over-ear RF wireless headphone system built for TV listening. It stands out with a hearing-profile mode that boosts speech clarity, a charging dock, and a remote for volume and sound modes. The 2.4 GHz RF link reaches just over 300 feet and runs up to 18 hours per charge. It is a niche product with few discounts, so compare its current price against its usual range before buying.
