Questions and answers

Is the QAP1E worth it at $63?
At $63.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a bolted-down, quick-access handgun safe. If you need room for a full-size pistol with a light or optic, spend more on a larger model.
Will a full-size pistol fit?
The interior is about 3.25 inches high, so most full-size pistols fit only without lights or optics. Measure your gun with the magazine in before buying.
How is it powered?
It runs on batteries for the backlit digital keypad, so keep spares on hand. There is no biometric reader; access is by code only.
Can it be bolted down?
Yes. Bolt-down hardware is included, which is the main defense against someone carrying the whole safe away.
How does it compare with the biometric QAP1BE?
The QAP1BE adds a fingerprint reader for faster access but costs more and can be fussy with wet or dirty fingers. The QAP1E keeps it simple with a keypad.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on this safe move around $60 to $90 across stores. The $63.00 eBay price as of November 4, 2026 is near the bottom of that range.
Where is the SentrySafe Quick Access Pistol Safe QAP1E cheapest?
