Questions and answers

Is the Serwall rocking chair set worth it?
At $159 at Distritech as of November 3 for two chairs, it is a low-cost way to get two weatherproof rockers with a 380 lb capacity each. Skip it if you want wood or cushioned seating.
How does it compare with a wooden rocker?
HDPE will not rot, splinter or need repainting, and it resists UV fading. A real wood rocker feels warmer and heavier but needs more upkeep outdoors.
Does it need cushions?
No. The slat back and seat are satin-smooth HDPE and stay cool in summer. Some owners add a thin pad for longer sitting.
How big is the seat?
The seat is about 27 inches wide with a 25.5-inch depth and 16.7-inch seat height. The back stands 29.5 inches tall, so taller adults get head support.
What is in the box?
Two chairs, the assembly hardware and instructions. A video guide is available online, and assembly takes about 20 minutes.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor furniture usually drops in late summer and around Black Friday. Check the price history before buying; the current best is $159 at Distritech as of November 3.
