Our take on the Sesslife King Platform Bed with Linen Fabric Headboard, LED Light and 2 Storage Drawers

The Sesslife King Platform Bed is an upholstered platform bed with a linen-look fabric headboard, built-in LED lighting and two under-bed storage drawers. It uses a metal frame with slats and supports up to 800 lb, so a box spring is not required. The frame measures about 78 in wide by 84 in long, which is worth checking against your room before ordering. It is a budget-priced way to add storage and lighting to a king bedroom.

Best forShoppers who want under-bed storage without a separate dresserRenters or small bedrooms where space is tightBuyers who prefer a platform bed with no box springPeople who like built-in reading or ambient lighting
Pros
  • Two drawers add usable storage in a king-size footprint
  • Built-in LED lighting is handy for reading and late-night use
  • Metal frame and slats rated to 800 lb
  • Upholstered linen-look headboard softens the look
  • No box spring needed
Cons
  • Only 16 ratings, so the 4.8 score rests on a small sample
  • Drawers run on the frame, so they need clearance beside the bed
  • LED lighting needs power routed to the bed
  • Metal frame with fabric cover may feel less solid than all-wood
  • Assembly of a king frame with drawers takes time and two people

Questions and answers

Is this bed worth it compared with a plain king platform bed?
If you need storage and lighting, the two drawers and LED headboard add function a plain platform frame lacks. If you have a dresser and lamps already, a simpler frame costs less.
Do I need a box spring?
No. The frame includes slats and is rated to 800 lb, so a mattress can sit directly on it.
How much clearance do the drawers need?
The drawers pull out from the side of the frame, so leave open floor space along that side. Measure your room against the roughly 78 in width and 84 in length before buying.
How is the LED light powered?
The LED lighting in the headboard needs a power source near the bed. Plan where the cord will run before assembly.
What mattress size fits?
It is a king-size frame, so use a standard king mattress. The slatted base means no box spring is required.
What do buyers say about the Sesslife King Platform Bed with Linen Fabric Headboard, LED Light and 2 Storage Drawers?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 16 ratings.
