Questions and answers

Is the Seychelle straw worth it?
At $18.17 as of November 1, 2026, it is a cheap way to filter water on the go. It suits light travel and backup use more than heavy daily filtration.
How long does the filter last?
Seychelle rates it for up to 25 gallons. That is roughly a few months of regular daily sipping, after which the straw should be replaced.
Can I use it with salt water?
No. Seychelle states it is not to be used with salt water. It is meant for fresh water sources such as tap or stream water.
What is in the box?
The package contains the filter straw itself. No bottle or carrying case is listed, so plan to use it with your own cup or bottle.
How does it compare with a filter bottle?
The straw is smaller and cheaper but filters only what you sip. A filter bottle holds more water and is easier for filling, at a higher price and weight.
When is it cheapest?
The only recorded price is $18.17 on November 1, 2026. With no price history yet, there is no established low point to wait for.
