Is the Shark Air Purifier MAX worth it?

At $148.95 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a True HEPA purifier with auto mode and a remote. It suits buyers who want simple controls and do not need app connectivity.

How does it compare with the standard Shark Air Purifier?

The MAX is the larger-room version, with a bigger cabinet and higher airflow than the standard model. Both use True HEPA filters and offer auto mode; the MAX costs more and takes up more floor space.

Does it have app or smart-home control?

No. It has no app, Wi-Fi or voice assistant support. Control is through the onboard buttons and the included remote.

What is included in the box?

The purifier ships with a True HEPA filter installed and a remote control. Check the listing for the exact filter model before ordering replacements.

How often do I need to replace the filter?

Shark generally recommends replacing the HEPA filter about every 6 to 12 months, depending on use and air quality. The unit does not have a permanent washable filter.
