Is the Shark HydroVac Pro XL worth it?

It is worth it if most of your floors are hard surface and you want to skip a separate vacuum and mop. If you have wall-to-wall carpet or a large home, a corded model or a longer-running vacuum may suit you better.

How long does the battery last and how long to charge?

Shark rates it at about 23 minutes of runtime, and a full charge takes roughly 23 minutes. The battery is built in, so you cannot swap in a spare mid-clean.

Can I use it on carpets and rugs?

It is designed for hard floors and area rugs. It is not meant for deep cleaning wall-to-wall carpet.

What comes in the box?

Expect the HydroVac unit, a storage dock and a charging setup. Check the listing for any extra brush or filter included.

Our take on the Shark HydroVac Pro XL Cordless 3-in-1 Wet Dry Vacuum

The Shark HydroVac Pro XL is a cordless 3-in-1 machine that vacuums, mops and self-cleans hard floors and area rugs in one pass. It has a 9.3-inch cleaning width, a 500 ml clean water tank and a 23-minute runtime on a 21.6V lithium-ion battery that is not removable. At $359.99 at Kohl's as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, so waiting for a sale is reasonable.
