Is 1.1 cu ft big enough for a family?

It fits a standard dinner plate and most 9x13 dishes, so it works for reheating and defrosting for two to three people. For cooking whole meals or large platters, a 1.5 cu ft model gives more room.

Does it have sensor cooking?

No. The SMC1169KS uses manual time and power settings plus weight-based automatic defrost. You set the cook time yourself.

What comes in the box?

The microwave, a 12.4-inch glass turntable, and the roller ring. Check the listing for the power cord length and manual.

How does 1000 watts compare with cheaper microwaves?

Budget countertop models often run 700–800 watts, which adds a minute or two to reheating. 1000 watts is a solid mid-range figure, though high-end units reach 1200–1250 watts.

The listing states no written warranty is included. Ask the seller for the manufacturer's warranty terms before buying, since Sharp typically covers magnetron and parts for a limited period.

Our take on the Sharp 1,000-Watt Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven

The Sharp SMC1169KS is a 1.1 cu ft countertop microwave with 1000 watts of cooking power and a stainless steel front. It has a 12.4-inch turntable, one-touch automatic defrost, and a simple keypad. It sits in Sharp's mid-size lineup: bigger and more powerful than a 0.7 cu ft compact, smaller than a 1.5 cu ft family oven. It is a basic, no-frills unit aimed at everyday reheating and defrosting rather than sensor cooking or convection.
