Is $49.99 a good price for this blanket?

It is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it as of November 7, 2026, so it is a strong entry point for a king-size dual-zone heated blanket. Comparable king heated blankets often sell for $60 to $100.

Does it really have two heat zones?

Yes. The king and queen sizes have two separate temperature zones, each with its own setting, so two sleepers can choose different warmth.

Can I wash it in a machine?

Yes, it is machine washable. Detach the controller and cord first and follow the care label; air-dry or tumble on low to protect the wiring.

Will it shut off on its own?

Yes. It has a 10-hour auto shut-off, which covers a full night's sleep and then cuts power.

Is it warm enough without another blanket?

It is only 0.25 in thick and midweight, so most owners use it as a layer under a duvet rather than as their only cover.

It is 70 inches long. That fits a king mattress but leaves little overhang, so tall sleepers may find it short.

Our take on the Simple Home Plus Heated Plush King Blanket

This is a midweight plush heated blanket in king size, with 20 heat settings, two separate temperature zones and a 10-hour auto shut-off. It is machine washable, reversible and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, with soft flexible wires. At $49.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it, so it sits at the bottom of its recent range rather than near the top.

Best forCouples who want separate warmth on each side of a king bedCold sleepers who want fine control over heat levelBuyers on a tight budget for a king-size heated blanketPeople who want a washable, plush blanket rather than a thin electric one

Pros

Two independent heat zones let each side of the bed run at its own setting
20 heat settings give finer control than the usual 3 to 6 levels
10-hour auto shut-off adds a safety margin for overnight use
Machine washable and reversible plush surface
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified fabric
Soft flexible wires reduce the lumpy feel of older heated blankets

Cons

Mixed owner reception: 3.4 out of 5 from about 2,300 ratings
Only 0.25 in thick, so it is a light layer rather than a heavy comforter
70 in length is short for a king bed and leaves feet or shoulders exposed
Two-zone wiring and controls add bulk at the foot of the bed
Long-term durability of the heating elements is a common worry at this price
