Does it need to be hooked up to plumbing?

No. The 5-liter built-in tank lets it run from a manual fill, though the drain hose still needs to empty into a sink or container.

How many dishes fit at once?

It is rated for 4 place settings. Dinner plates fit, but large pots, sheet pans and tall items generally do not.

It is rated at 52 dB, roughly the level of a quiet conversation, so it is fine in an open kitchen or office.

It uses air drying only, with no heated dry element. Expect to hand-dry some items, especially plastics.

It runs on 120 volts and plugs into a standard US outlet.

Countertop dishwashers tend to dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. Check the price history chart for the current low.
