Our take on the Skechers Men's Air Envoy Buyers Peak Hiking Shoes

The Skechers Air Envoy is a men's lace-up hiking shoe with a genuine leather upper, a rubber outsole and a Memory Foam insole. It is built as a cushioned casual hiker rather than a stiff backpacking boot, so it suits light trails, walks and everyday wear. The best new price is $65 at ModeSens as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Best forDay hikers and walkers on easy trailsShoppers who want leather uppers at a low priceMen who prefer sneaker-like comfort over stiff bootsCasual everyday wear in fall and winter
Pros
  • Genuine leather upper holds up better than mesh on brush and gravel
  • Memory Foam insole gives soft cushioning out of the box
  • Rubber outsole with a lugged tread for dirt and light rock
  • Lace-up fit is easy to adjust for wider or narrower feet
  • Comes in five colorways, including brown and olive
  • Around $65 is low for a leather hiking shoe
Cons
  • Cushioning-focused build offers less ankle support than a boot
  • Not rigid enough for heavy packs or steep technical terrain
  • Leather upper is warmer and slower to dry than mesh
  • Traction is modest on wet rock and mud
  • Limited stock: only two stores list it new

Questions and answers

Is the Skechers Air Envoy good for real hiking?
For maintained trails, gravel paths and day walks, yes. It has a rubber outsole and leather upper but no stiff shank or ankle support, so skip it for heavy packs or rocky scrambles.
How does it fit compared with other Skechers?
It runs true to size for most buyers and comes in medium width. The lace-up design lets you tighten the midfoot, but wide-footed shoppers should size up or try before buying.
Does it have Memory Foam?
Yes. The insole uses Skechers Memory Foam, which is soft and cushioned from the first wear. It compresses over time, so heavy daily users may want a replacement insole after a season.
Is $65 a good price for these shoes?
Yes. $65 at ModeSens as of November 4, 2026 is a low price for a genuine leather hiking shoe, and only two stores list it new, so stock is thin at that price.
What colors does it come in?
Brown/black, navy/black, brown, olive and black. Color availability varies by store.
Are these shoes waterproof?
No. The leather upper resists light splashes but is not sealed, so it will soak through in sustained rain or deep puddles.
Where is the Skechers Men's Air Envoy Buyers Peak Hiking Shoes cheapest?
At ModeSens, for $65.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Skechers Men's Air Envoy Buyers Peak Hiking Shoes?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 51 ratings.
Where can I buy the Skechers Men's Air Envoy Buyers Peak Hiking Shoes?
5 stores we checked sell it, including ModeSens, eBay, Bealls Florida, Skechers.com, Trekkinn.com.
