Is the Skechers Torque actually waterproof?

Yes. Skechers rates the upper with H2GO Shield waterproof protection and backs it with a one-year waterproof warranty. Keep the receipt, since the warranty claim depends on the purchase date.

Can I replace the spikes?

Yes. The shoe uses replaceable Softspikes with the Stealth PIN system, so you can swap worn spikes instead of replacing the shoes. Replacement spikes are sold separately.

How does the twist-dial closure work?

You twist the dial to tighten the cable lacing and pull it to release. There are no laces to tie, but the dial and cable are the parts most likely to need attention over time.

How heavy is the shoe?

Skechers lists 12 oz per shoe in a men's size 9. That is light for a spiked golf shoe, which helps if you walk your rounds.

Are these allowed at courses that ban metal spikes?

They use Softspikes, which are plastic and accepted at most courses. Check with any course that requires spikeless shoes, because this model has visible spikes.
