Is the Skechers Trego Ashaway truly waterproof?

Yes. The upper combines genuine leather and mesh with a waterproof construction, so it handles rain, wet grass and shallow puddles. It is not a fully submersible boot.

It comes in medium width with a Memory Foam footbed. Most buyers take their usual size; those between sizes or with wide feet may want to size up.

Is it good for serious hiking?

It suits easy trails, walks and travel. The cushioning-focused support is softer than a stiff mountain boot, so skip it for steep or rocky routes.

A genuine leather and mesh upper with a lace-up closure, a Memory Foam cushioned footbed and a brown finish.

When is the best time to buy?

Hiking boots usually drop during seasonal clearance and around outdoor-gear sales. Compare the price history on this page to see whether the current price is low for this model.
