Our take on the Skeri Electric Scooter for Adults 48V 500W

The Skeri is a 48V, 500W adult electric scooter with 10-inch all-terrain tires and a 300 lb load rating. Skeri claims a 20 mph top speed and 15 miles of range, with a 5-hour charge time. At $439.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against. The 3.8 out of 5 rating from 48 ratings suggests mixed owner satisfaction.

Best forAdults who want a fast, high-weight-capacity scooter on a budgetRiders on gravel, dirt and broken pavement who want 10-inch tiresHeavier riders who need a 300 lb limitShort commutes and errands under 15 miles
Pros
  • 500W motor and 20 mph top speed are strong for the price
  • 300 lb max load is higher than most scooters in this class
  • 10-inch all-terrain tires handle rough surfaces better than small solid wheels
  • 48V system gives more torque than 36V budget scooters
Cons
  • 15-mile range is short and likely lower at full speed or with a heavy rider
  • 5-hour charge time is slow for daily use
  • No NRTL safety listing, which matters for battery and charger safety
  • Moped-style build and 49-inch length make it awkward to carry or store
  • Only one new price listed, so there is no price history to judge the deal

Questions and answers

Is the Skeri 500W scooter worth $439.99?
At $439.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is priced like other 500W scooters with 10-inch tires. It makes sense if you need the 300 lb capacity and ride short distances. The lack of an NRTL safety listing is a real reason to consider alternatives.
How fast does it actually go and how far on a charge?
Skeri rates it at 20 mph and 15 miles of range. Expect less range at top speed or with a heavy rider, and a 5-hour charge between rides.
Can adults over 250 lb ride it?
Yes. The max load is 300 lb, which is higher than most scooters at this price. Check tire pressure often when riding near the limit.
Is it safe to charge indoors?
The listing says it has no NRTL listing, so the battery and charger have not been certified by a recognized safety lab. Charge it on a hard, non-flammable surface and never overnight unattended.
What is in the box?
The listing does not detail the box contents. Expect the scooter, charger and basic tools; confirm with the seller before buying if you need a manual or accessories.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new price, $439.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, is listed, so there is no price history to time a purchase. Watch for seasonal sales at Walmart.
Where is the Skeri Electric Scooter for Adults 48V 500W cheapest?
At Walmart, for $439.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Skeri Electric Scooter for Adults 48V 500W?
Rated 3.8 out of 5 from 48 ratings.
