Is the Sloane dresser solid wood?

No. The frame and panels are engineered wood with a wood veneer, finished in water-based lacquer. Only the drawer boxes and some structural parts are typically solid wood on this type of piece.

How much weight can the drawers hold?

The listed maximum bearing support is 110.2 lbs for the unit. Spread heavy items like jeans across the lower, deeper drawers rather than loading one drawer.

Will it fit in a small bedroom?

At 55.1 inches wide and 17.7 inches deep, it needs a wall about 4.6 feet long but only 1.5 feet of clearance. That shallow depth is its main advantage over deeper dressers.

Does it come assembled?

Expect to assemble it. At 223.5 lbs shipping weight, have a second person help move the box and stand the unit upright before attaching drawers.

The dresser panels, six drawers, metal handles, levelers and hardware are included. Tools are usually not, so have a screwdriver and a drill on hand.

Watch for seasonal furniture sales and clearance events, when dressers like this typically drop. Compare the current quote with its recent price history before buying.

Our take on the Sloane 6-Drawer Modern Solid Wood Dresser with Metal Handles

The Sloane is a tall six-drawer dresser, 55.1 inches wide and 32.3 inches high, with metal handles and a gray water-based lacquer finish. It is built from engineered wood and wood veneer on ball-bearing drawer runners, with levelers included and GREENGUARD certification for low emissions. Its 17.7-inch depth keeps it close to the wall, which suits narrow bedrooms. No current price was provided, so check the latest quote against its recent range before buying.
