Our take on the Slope Rangefinder Golf Gear 1200yd 7X Pro Vibration Alert

A golf rangefinder with slope compensation, 7x magnification and a 1,200-yard reflective range. It adds vibration alert on lock and water resistance for wet rounds. Slope mode makes it useful for practice and casual play, but it is not legal for USGA tournament play unless slope is switched off. No current price was given, so compare store prices before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this rangefinder legal for tournament play?: Only with slope mode turned off. Devices that calculate slope-adjusted distance are not permitted under USGA rules unless that function is disabled.
What does the vibration alert do?: It buzzes when the laser locks onto a target, so you can confirm you hit the flag rather than a background object.
How far can it measure?: Up to 1,200 yards to a reflective target. Real-world range to a flag is usually shorter, especially in rain or haze.
Is it waterproof?: It is water resistant, not waterproof. It handles light rain and dew but should not be submerged or left out in a downpour.
What is in the box?: The listing does not specify contents. Expect the rangefinder itself; check for a case, strap and battery before buying.
When is the best time to buy?: No price history was provided. Compare prices across stores and watch for seasonal golf sales in spring and around the holidays.
