Is this walker worth buying?

It suits families who want a sturdy wooden walker that also works as a shape-sorting activity toy. Whether it is good value depends on the store price, which was not available here, so compare a few stores first.

It is aimed at babies learning to walk, typically around 10 to 18 months once they can pull themselves up. Younger babies can use the shape-fitting game while sitting.

Does it need batteries?

No. It is a purely mechanical wooden toy with a shape-fitting game and a turnable vise spindle, so there is nothing to charge or replace.

How is it different from a plastic walker?

It is heavier and more stable than most plastic walkers and has no lights or sounds. The trade-off is that it is harder to fold away and store.

Expect the walker body with the vise and spindle plus the shape-fitting pieces. Check the listing for the exact number of shapes included.

Wooden toys like this usually drop around holiday sales and back-to-school events. Set a price alert and compare stores rather than buying at the first listing you see.

Our take on the small foot Baby walker

The small foot Baby walker is a wooden push-along walker for babies learning to take their first steps. Its standout feature is a built-in vise with a turnable spindle plus a shape-fitting game on the body, so it doubles as a workbench-style activity toy. The sturdy wooden construction is meant to take the tumbles of early walking. No current price or price history was available for this page, so check the latest store prices before buying.
