Our take on the Snoozer Orthopedic Cozy Cave Pet Bed

The Snoozer Cozy Cave is a round, cave-style dog bed with a hooded sherpa-lined interior and a 3-inch orthopedic foam base. The removable tubing in the hood keeps the cover arched so dogs can burrow, and the microsuede exterior is water-repellent with a machine-washable cover. It comes in Small and Extra Large; the XL is 45 inches across and about 8 inches tall. At $62.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end for a bed of this size and build.

Questions and answers

Is the Cozy Cave good for senior dogs?
Yes. The 3-inch orthopedic foam gives firm support for stiff joints, and the sherpa lining and hood hold warmth, which older dogs tend to like. Dogs that sprawl rather than curl may prefer an open bed.
What size should I get for a large dog?
The Extra Large is 45 inches in diameter and about 8 inches tall, built for large breeds. Measure your dog curled up and add a few inches; owners often report the bed fits snugly.
Can the cover be washed?
Yes. The cover is machine-washable. Remove the hood tubing and the foam insert first, then wash the cover according to its care label.
Does the hood stay up?
It does while the removable tubing is in place. The tubing is what holds the arch; without it the hood collapses.
Is it waterproof?
No. The microsuede exterior is water-repellent, which handles spills and damp paws, but the foam inside is not waterproof.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price found was $62.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, against 6 stores listing it new. Compare across stores before buying, since the gap between sellers can be wide.
