Our take on the Sobremesa Boneless Sectional Couch L-Shaped Sofa with Left Facing Chaise

The Sobremesa Boneless Sectional is a two-piece L-shaped fabric sofa with a left-facing chaise, 96 inches long and 61 inches deep. Its "boneless" build means no rigid frame or springs, just dense foam that molds to your body. Seat and back height are both 16 inches, and it holds up to 1,200 lb. It is a low, deep, lounge-style couch rather than an upright one.

Cons
  • 16-inch seat and back height is very low; hard for some to stand up from

Questions and answers

Is a boneless couch comfortable for everyday sitting?
It is soft and enveloping, good for lounging and naps. It gives less back and lumbar support than a framed sofa, so people with back issues should try one first.
How firm is the foam, and will it sag?
Boneless sofas use high-density foam that starts firm and softens with use. Expect some compression in the seat within a year or two of daily use; fluffing and rotating cushions helps.
Can I fit it through a standard door?
Yes. It ships as two pieces, and the covers compress, so it fits through most 30-inch doorways and tight stairwells that block a one-piece sofa.
Are the covers removable and washable?
Most boneless sectionals of this type have zip-off, machine-washable covers. Check the care label before washing; cold water and air drying protect the fabric.
Does it need assembly?
Assembly is minimal: the two pieces usually connect with a strap or bracket, and covers go on over the foam. No tools are typically needed.
Is the left-facing chaise fixed?
The chaise sits on the left as you face the sofa. The two pieces can sometimes be separated and rearranged, but the chaise orientation is set by the design.
