Is the SoftWalk Elmhurst good for all-day wear?

Yes, for most wearers. The 1 3/4-inch stacked heel, cushioned removable footbed and arch support are built for walking and standing. Some buyers say the leather needs a short break-in.

Does it fit true to size?

Reviews are mixed. Some buyers say it runs true to size, while others find it narrow or tight and suggest sizing up if you have wide feet.

Can I put my own orthotics in it?

Yes. The footbed is removable, so you can swap in your own insoles or orthotics. The steel or iron shank adds stability underneath.

What is the heel height?

The heel is 1 3/4 inches, a stacked block style. The shaft is ankle-high.

How do I put them on?

There is a zipper on the back of the heel. Unzip it, step in, and zip up; no laces to tie.

When is the best time to buy?

The best new price is $73.88 at eBay as of November 7, 2026. Boot prices often drop in late winter and during seasonal sales, so compare across the 3 stores that sell it new.
