Is the Sony BRAVIA 8 II worth it over a regular OLED?

The QD-OLED panel adds brightness and color volume that standard OLED sets cannot match, which shows most in HDR movies and games. If you watch in a dark room and want the best picture Sony sells at this size, it is worth the premium.

Is $2,498 a good price for the 65-inch?

It is the best of four new prices as of November 5, 2026, but it sits near the top of the set's recent range. Waiting for a sale around a major holiday is the usual way to pay less.

Does it support 4K 120 Hz for PS5 and Xbox?

Yes. The panel runs at 120 Hz and the HDMI inputs accept 4K 120 Hz signals, so current consoles can run at high frame rates.

What sizes does the BRAVIA 8 II come in?

Two: 55 inches at about 37.9 lb and 65 inches at about 50.5 lb. There is no 77-inch version in this line.

The TV, its tabletop stand, the remote and power cable. A wall mount is not included and must be bought separately.

Which voice assistants work with it?

Google Assistant is built into Google TV, and the set also works with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri through AirPlay and HomeKit.

Our take on the Sony BRAVIA 8 II QD-OLED TV 65-Inch 4K Smart with Google TV

The Sony BRAVIA 8 II is a 4K QD-OLED TV in 55- and 65-inch sizes, running Google TV with a 120 Hz panel. Quantum dots add brightness and color volume on top of OLED's per-pixel blacks, and Sony's XR processor handles upscaling and motion. The 65-inch is $2,498 at B&H Photo-Video-Audio as of November 5, 2026, the best of four new prices. That sits at the top of what this set has cost recently, so it is a full-price buy rather than a discount one.

What reviewers say

Owners of Sony's QD-OLED sets generally praise the contrast, color and motion, and the BRAVIA 8 II follows that pattern. Complaints tend to center on price and on brightness in very bright rooms rather than picture quality.

Pros

Deep blacks with vivid, accurate color
Clean motion for sports and games
Wide viewing angles
Slim, low-profile design

Cons

High price for the size
Reflections and glare in bright rooms
Risk of image retention with static content
