Is the PS5 Pro worth it over a regular PS5?

If you have a 4K TV and play Pro-patched games, you get a sharper image and steadier frame rates plus double the storage. On a 1080p screen the difference is small, so a base PS5 is the better value.

Does the PS5 Pro include a disc drive?

Yes. This model has a built-in Blu-ray drive, so physical PS5 and PS4 discs work out of the box.

How much storage does the PS5 Pro have?

It has 2 TB of internal SSD storage, twice the base PS5, and you can add more with an M.2 NVMe SSD.

Does it come with a stand or controller?

A DualSense controller is included. A vertical stand is not; it is sold separately.

Will my PS4 games work on the PS5 Pro?

Yes. It plays most PS4 discs and digital games through backward compatibility, with many titles running better than on the original PS4.

It launched at $699.99 and has seen discounts around major sales events. The current best new price is $1,569.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so compare stores before buying.
