Is the Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Deluxe worth it?

Yes, for the money. At $459 at musicstore.com as of November 4, 2026, it offers humbucker Tele tone, a bone nut and a comfortable neck that few rivals match at this price.

How does it differ from the Classic Vibe '50s Telecaster?

This Deluxe has two humbuckers, a larger '70s headstock and a string-through hardtail bridge. The '50s model uses two single-coil pickups and a different bridge for brighter, twangier tone.

Are the pickups real Wide Range humbuckers?

No. They are Fender-Designed Wide Range alnico humbuckers built to resemble the originals. They sound warm and full but are not the CuNiFe Wide Range pickups used on vintage '70s Teles.

What comes in the box?

The guitar only. No gig bag or case is included, so budget for one if you plan to transport it.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. The slim C-shape neck, 9.5-inch radius and light .009-.042 strings make it easy to play, and the humbuckers stay quiet under gain.

Our take on the Squier Classic Vibe 70s Telecaster Deluxe

The Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Deluxe is a budget reissue of Fender's 1970s dual-humbucker Tele. It pairs a poplar body with a maple C-shape neck, two Fender-Designed Wide Range alnico humbuckers, and a string-through hardtail bridge with individual steel saddles. The 9.5-inch radius and narrow-tall frets make it easy to play, and the vintage-tint gloss neck and large '70s headstock carry the look. At $459 at musicstore.com as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with 8 stores pricing it new.
