About the SS10P
Add bass to your car or truck without giving up room for passengers or cargo. This 10-inch powered subwoofer combines the speaker and amplifier in a cast aluminum enclosure measuring 13.6 inches long, 9.65 inches wide, and just 3 inches high. It is designed for compact installations such as under a seat; measure the available space and clearance in your vehicle before choosing a mounting location.
The built-in amplifier delivers 200 watts RMS, with an 800-watt peak rating. Low-level RCA inputs connect to a stereo with preamp outputs, while high-level inputs let you connect to speaker-level signals from a factory or aftermarket system. All connections are on one side of the enclosure to keep wiring together. High-level auto turn-on senses an audio signal and switches the amplifier on, then turns it off when the signal stops.
Set the gain to match your source, then adjust the 50–180Hz low-pass filter to blend the subwoofer with your vehicle’s speakers. The 0°/180° phase switch gives you another way to tune that blend, and adjustable bass boost adds up to 12 dB at 45Hz. Once installed, the included metal bass remote lets you adjust the subwoofer level from the dash instead of reaching under the seat.
The cast aluminum enclosure helps dissipate amplifier heat, and heavy-duty mounting feet provide attachment points for the included mounting hardware. Thermal, short-circuit, and overload protection circuits help protect the system, with green power and red protect indicators to show its operating status.
