Is the Stanley 65-piece kit worth it?

For basic home repairs, yes. At $50.95 it costs far less than the $92.99 other stores charge, and the full-size hammer alone makes it more useful than most small kits.

How does it compare with a bigger mechanics set?

This kit is aimed at household jobs, not auto repair. Bigger mechanics sets have more sockets and ratchets but usually a smaller hammer and more filler.

Is the case easy to store?

It measures about 40.5 x 8.5 x 28 cm and weighs 3.37 kg. That fits a closet shelf or trunk but takes real space.

When is the best time to buy?

Watch for it near $50.95, the current best price. The $92.99 elsewhere is the high end, so buy below that.

Our take on the Stanley 65-Piece Home Tool Kit

The Stanley 65-Piece Home Tool Kit is a general household tool set in a molded case, built around hardened steel tools. Its standout is a full-size 13 oz hammer, which is heavier and more useful for home repairs than the 8 oz hammers in most kits this size. The set covers the basics: a 16 ft tape rule, 18 mm snap-off knife, 6 in long nose pliers, and 8 metric plus 8 SAE hex keys. The latest best price is $50.95, well under the $92.99 other stores charge.
