Our take on the Stanton Foothill Big Man's Power Lift Recliner

The Stanton Foothill is a leather power lift recliner built for larger users, with a 42-inch width and 47-inch height. Its powered lift mechanism raises the seat to help you stand, and the recliner back lets you lean back for rest. The best new price is $1,700 at Whats New Furniture as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no lower price to compare against right now.

  • Leather can feel cold at first and needs care
  • Lift chairs are heavy and hard to move alone
  • Needs a nearby outlet for the motor

Questions and answers

Is $1,700 a good price for this recliner?
It is the only new price listed, $1,700 at Whats New Furniture as of November 5, 2026. With one seller there is no lower competing price to beat, so compare it with other wide leather lift recliners before deciding.
Will it fit a 300-pound user?
Stanton markets this as a big man's recliner, and the 42-inch width gives more room than standard lift chairs. Check the stated weight capacity for this model before buying, since it is not listed here.
Does it need to be plugged in?
Yes. The lift and recline motors run on household power, so you need an outlet within reach of the chair. Most owners keep it plugged in all the time.
How much floor space does it need?
It is 42 inches wide and 47 inches high, and a recliner needs clearance behind it to lean back. Leave several inches of gap from the wall so the back can recline fully.
Is the leather real or bonded?
The listing says leather, but it does not specify top-grain or bonded. Ask the seller which grade it is, because bonded leather wears faster.
Can I return it if the size is wrong?
Return policies vary by store, and a large lift chair is costly to ship back. Confirm the return window and who pays return freight before you order.
Where is the Stanton Foothill Big Man's Power Lift Recliner cheapest?
At Whats New Furniture, for $1,700.00, as of our latest check.
