Is the Stihl BGA 60 worth it?

It suits small yards and quick cleanups where light weight matters more than run time. If you clear large areas, a backpack blower or a bigger battery makes more sense.

How long does the AK 30 battery last?

Stihl rates it at up to 16 minutes per charge. Expect less in boost mode and more at lower speeds.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

Yes. This kit includes the AK 30 5 Ah battery and a charger, so it is ready to use out of the box.

Can I use other Stihl AK batteries in it?

Yes. The BGA 60 runs on the 36 V AK system, so other AK batteries fit, and larger ones give longer run time.

Is the price likely to drop?

The lowest price recorded since October 31, 2026 is $269.99, the same as the current price. There is no recent lower point to wait for.
