Our take on the Storage Cabinet With Adjustable Shelves Metal Home Kitchen Pantry Cabinets With Doors

This is a tall steel pantry cabinet, 70.8 inches high and 31.5 inches wide, with five adjustable shelves and tambour doors that roll away instead of swinging out. The roll-away doors save floor space in tight kitchens, and the steel build is rated for up to 720 lb total. It ships unassembled and is meant to be fixed to the wall. No current price was available to compare against its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth it compared with a wooden pantry?
If you need heavy loads and doors that don't swing into a walkway, the steel build and 720 lb rating justify it. A wood cabinet is cheaper but usually holds less and takes water damage worse.
How much weight can each shelf hold?
The cabinet is rated for 720 lb total. Spread heavy items across shelves rather than loading one shelf to the limit.
Do the tambour doors need space to open?
No. The doors roll sideways into the frame, so the cabinet needs no clearance in front of it. Keep the tracks clean so they slide freely.
Does it have to be mounted to the wall?
It is designed for wall fixing, and a 70.8-inch steel cabinet should be anchored for safety, especially in homes with children.
What's in the box?
The cabinet ships flat with panels, five shelves, tambour doors, hardware and instructions. Tools for assembly are generally not included.
When is it cheapest?
Tall storage cabinets tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying.
