Is $982.86 a good price for this bed?

It is the only new price listed, at Shop Simon as of November 7, 2026, so there is nothing cheaper to compare it with. Plain full frames without storage usually sell for less, so you are paying a premium for the bookcase headboard.

What is the bed made of?

Plywood, MDF and pine. Expect painted or veneered panels rather than solid wood throughout.

Does the headboard storage replace a nightstand?

It gives you shelf space for books, a lamp and small items, but there is no drawer or closed compartment. Many owners still want a small nightstand for a phone and a glass of water.

What size mattress does it take?

A standard full-size mattress. Mattress and bedding are not included.

Is it hard to assemble?

A tall bookcase headboard means more parts and a heavier top section than a plain frame. Plan for two people and anchor the headboard to the wall if the instructions call for it.
