Is the Stührling NH35 diver worth it?

At $179.80 at Macy's as of November 6, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a real Seiko automatic in a steel diver case. Expect budget-level lume and bracelet finishing.

How does the NH35 compare with a quartz diver?

The NH35 is mechanical and winds itself as you wear it, so no battery changes. A quartz diver is more accurate and needs less attention.

Does it need winding?

It is automatic, so wearing it keeps it running. If you leave it off for a day or two, wind it by hand or reset the time.

What is the case and bracelet made of?

Both are stainless steel, with a black bezel and a day-of-month date window.

Is it good for actual diving?

It is styled as a diver with a rotating bezel and luminous markers. Treat it as a sport watch unless the depth rating is confirmed on the caseback.

Only one new price is listed, $179.80 at Macy's as of November 6, 2026. Watch for holiday sales, when automatic watches often drop.
